  • This cleanser is specifically formulated for normal to dry skin. Its gentle, non-foaming lotion texture cleanses the skin without stripping away its natural moisture.  If you have very oily or acne-prone skin, the Foaming version may suit you better.
  • It is designed not to foam as foaming surfactants are what tend to leave skin tight. The lotion-like texture still lifts away dirt, oil, and most daily grime. For heavy makeup or sunscreen, follow it with a first cleansing step to fully break those down.
  • Yes, it effectively removes daily dirt, oil, and makeup. If you are wearing heavy or waterproof makeup, you may want to use a dedicated
    makeup remover or CeraVe Hydrating Micellar Water first, followed by the Hydrating Facial Cleanser to ensure your skin is completely clean and refreshed.
